Los Barriles
Los Barriles – Los Barriles ("The Barrels") is a small town with a population 1,174 people. It is located in the municipality of La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
The beaches of Los Barriles are located along Las Palmas Bay, are full of multi-colored parachutes and sails from the visitors who love to practice sports such as wind surfing and sailboarding. From March to December, the winds that predomínate the zone let theses adventure lovers to live their favorite experience. The local hotels have instructors and specialized equipment for these sports. Los Barriles is a beach that still has a relaxed and informal atmosphere that made Baja California Sur a popular place.
Besides sportsfishing, wind surfing is highly popular. There are also exciting quad rides along the hills up to several beaches with transparent water where you can snorkel or relax for a while before returning to Los Barriles.

Los Barriles has some of the best fishing found anywhere in the world. Everyday, twice a day, we would either take out the big boat or paddle out in the kayak.
Surrounding Area
Communities have been built up and down the coast with each having unique characteristics. The properties all seem to have beautiful views of the deep blue ocean waters. A drive up to the mountains is amazing. I stopped on one drive and took in the small desert that dotted the landscape between ocean and mountain and watched an eagle soar. High up in the elevation you will find hiking and biking paths. This truly and outdoorsmen’s dream.
