St. John’s - Virgin Islands

St. Johns is an island in the Caribbean Sea that the United States purchased in 1917 from the Dutch. It is the smallest of the 3 main U.S. Virgin Islands and is an unincorporated territory that is home to 110,000 people. 60% of the land area and more than 5,500 acres of reef and ocean surrounding the island is Virgin Island National Park.

Accommodations- There are many places to stay but it seemed like the best choice was the Westin. It sets you back $400/night but you get a fancy villa and a home like place for your base camp. I was very satisfied with this decision and from what I saw and read this is the best hotel on St. Johns. https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/sjfwi-the-westin-st-john-resort-villas/

*It is a resort (people, family’s, etc.) and if you wanted something more private you can easily find a VRBO or rental, we just wern’t interested in that for this trip.
