Voyagers & Superior

At the northern most part of Minnesota you find Voyogeurs NP. Here you will find fantastic hikes up and down the hillsides surrounded by tall trees and blue waters. The trees are pines and the water is from glaciers.

I arrived in August of 2020 while the Covid pandemic was still in fever pitch. I’m not sure if it was because of August or lack of people but I saw more snakes here than all the other parks Ive been to combined. To be fair none were venomous and they wanted nothing to do with me.

Just north of Minneapolis the shoreline of Lake Superior starts in Duluth and goes all the way up to the Canadian border. It is the perfect spot to getaway. The massive lake is full of the mineral agate and at a blistering 45 degrees is quite therapeutic. We did a 25’ cliff plunge and celebrated with a local delicacy, bumble-berry pie. I strongly recomemnd this drive.
