Wrangell St.Elias

Wrangell-St. Elias is 6 times the size of Yellowstone and Americas largest national park! The park begins at the Gulf of Alaska and goes all the way up to the park's high point at 18,000 ft, Mount Saint Elias.

In another part of the park we find Mount Wrangell which is an active volcano, one of many volcanos. These two spectacular mountains are obviously where the park gets its name.

13,200,000 Acres- This place is fricken massive! We only had 2 days at Wrangell and barely scratched the surface. I guess a little is better than nothing but it is definitely worth a second visit the next time I make it back this way.

The Majestic

Landscape Change

As I approached the mountains led to many changes. the bright colors transitioned to fuller colors with a richer flavor. I don’t know which I prefer, maybe both are good and I should just appreciate both…
