Where to Stay
We stayed at the Electra Palace Hotel, and let me tell you, the location couldn’t be better. Right in the heart of Athens, it’s got that perfect mix of old-world charm and modern comforts. The real kicker? You can see the Acropolis lit up like a scene from a movie right from your room. It’s the kind of view that makes you forget your troubles — until you try to walk through the front door.
Now, I’m not saying I don’t look suspicious, but apparently the staff thought I might’ve wandered in from a fishing boat, because I got side-eyed hard nearly every time I came back. After a few heated exchanges and a couple of colorful words (sorry, Mom), I came to appreciate that they run a tight ship. No funny business allowed — just Acropolis views and really strong coffee.
