The North Cascades has hundreds of tarns (small mountain lakes), rivers, glacier streams and waterfalls.
These bodies range from crystal clear to a rich aquamarine.

The North Cascades National Park saturated with blazing yellow Aspen, multi-colored Mountain Ash and vibrant red oak.
Western Larch and Tamarack can be found in higher elevations as well. You will know them when you see them! They are two different species of the same genus but look for brilliant orange pine needles and you'll know.
