Maui
Maui is an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and is part of the Hawaiian Islands. It is home to Haleakala National Park and the Road to Hana. It has mountains, beaches lagoons and waterfalls. Maui is 26 miles wide and 40 miles long with a mountain peak of just over 10,000 ft.
Waianapanapa beach is also know as the Black Sand Beach. Obviously the sand is black and it is from volcanic rock crushed over many years. It is a great place to cool down and jump over the large waves as they come crashing in.
Seven Sacred Pools Trail ('Ohe'o Gulch)- Kūloa Point and 'Ohe'o Gulch offer a stunning variety of scenery is a short span of easy trail, making it a great family hike or a way to spend a lazy afternoon in this part of the national park.
