Getting Here- is no small feat and obviously a direct flight from the midwest does not exist but I did want to show how many miles from home it is. It took 4 flights to get here although I did stop for extended periods on other parts of the trip. Nonetheless it is not for the weak of heart or those looking for instant gratification.

When you finally get to the water you don’t care about the guy in front of you that thought, why not bring a large plate of curry on the plane and slowly eat it while chewing with his mouth open? Or the 12 minutes when all the other passengers decided to have a “group cough”. Or even the little girl that knew just when I was nodding off and decided to kick the back of my chair. You have arrived in heaven and those all seem like small inconveniences now or even tests to see if you are worthy of entering the kingdom that the lord above took so much time preparing for you.

Cannonball Palm Tree (Couroupita guianensis)- I passed this tree for days and for whatever reason I became obsessed with it. With so much flowering vegetation and exotic delights to admire this tree chose me. Just in case your a pyscho like me and want to know more about them please use link below the picture.

Giant East African Land Snail (Achatina immaculata)- He was approximitly 6” (can grow up to 8”) long and appeared to be in a hurry. Im not sure he was aware that he was a snail but that not deter him from accomplishing whatever he set out to do that morning. They are hermaphrodites, one of the most invasive species and the largest snail on earth.

Madagascar Red Fody- Yes he is almost orange but he is a red fody and a charming little fellow. He was fearless and pretty chill so he got a handful peanuts daily.

Seychelles Coco De Mer Tree- Lodoicea, commonly known as the sea coconut, coco de mer, or double coconut, is a monotypic genus in the palm family. Lodoicea maldivica, is the sole species and is only found in the Seychelles. The coconut looks like two grown together which in turn looks like a woman’s butt cheeks.
