When you arrive you are greeted immidietly and your bags are taken. You are taken to the welcome center where the boys are given a beer and the girls get a watermelon champagne popsicle drink, what!?!? The staff and service they provide is second to none.

Once you have signed your bags are placed on a golf cart and off you go. You drive thru winding paths of lush palms and exotic gardens. When the cart stops its journey and you collect your bags the magic begins.

Based off of the what we read online we selected the “Signature Grand Ocean Pool Villa” room. You have an idea in your head but until you physically see it yourself you don’t really know what to expect.

Praslin Island in the Seychelles has many hotels that offer you the rest and relaxation you are looking for but for our household, the Hilton hit another home run and were glad we came here. Considering the price and value I give it an A+.

Property Layout

There is a series of concrete paths that lead from the rooms to the beach, pool, restaurants and everything the hotel has to offer. They are filled with lush tropical plants and amazing views.

Villa Rooms

Nice and clean, they are set up properly for relaxation. There is about a 3” loft around the bed itself which you can see in the picture, this will come into play after a night of cocktails finally catches up and you need to take a leak. The showers/bath are open air but the toilet is private. Far too often hotels try to set the tone for romance and intimacy by making the entire bathroom experience open. A toilet should always be separate with a privacy door. They also have a good sized couch and tv setup to end the day with a movie. The front desk has tons of dvd’s so that can be an event by itself.

Eats and Drinks

Lunch and dinner are served in this area as well as cocktails. It then opens up as a lounge close to sunset. BOGO happy hour is the best time to be here for the cocktails and watching the sun get swallowed by the sea. Also if you need a snack banana trees are everywhere although I don’t think it is recommended I may or may not have climbed up and grabbed a few.

The Setting-As you can see the villas are tucked away in the hillside. If you are interested in privacy and seclusion and yet all the amenities of hotel, this place gives you both.

Pool and Ocean

The villas have their own plunge pools but the main pool in the common area is pretty spectacular as well. When it comes to the beach situation you have options. You can find a secluded section to watch waves crash or go the main beach access and take a relaxing dip from the sandy beach.

Sunsets

This is an event by itself and even if you spend the entire day in your room the guests tend to all gather on the deck for a drink and to watch the show. You have seen the sun go down before but maybe you havn’t seen it like this. The brush strokes used require most of the paints in your collection; blues, reds, yellow and every combination in-between. Pinks and purple in the sky? They have them here. Whomever is at work above knows what they are doing.
