Getting Around Bali

There is traffic everywhere in every direction and it might seem like a good idea to rent a scooter

Tips for Driving in Bali-Avoid driving on Balinese roads late at night—the back roads tend to be unlit, and the street signs are hard to read in the dark. In Bali, the larger vehicle has right of way. Honk your horn when going around blind curves; many drivers drive in the middle of the road.

Ceking Rice Terrace

Ceking is famous for a large swing that shoots out over a terraced rice pattie hillside. More than anything it is a place to go to take photos of your friends and yourself to post online and let the world know you are import and a world traveler. Please understand, Im not making fun of people because I do the same thing but it is funny that it is much more important to get a great, postable selfie than enjoying a new experience.

Tegenungan Waterfall

Tegenungan Waterfall also known as Blangsinga Waterfall, is one of the most famous and biggest waterfalls in the island of Bali. The water drops around 45’. The Tegenungan Waterfall created from the water flows of Petanu River. The Petanu River is one of the longest river in Bali.

Bali boat ride

The day started before the sun came out. As mentioned, traffic is wild here around the clock so leaving early in the dark is best. I got to see a beautiful sunrise, catch a fish, Batu Bolong and explored the island of Nusa Penida.

Bali Things

There are very interesting things found here. The electric lines are beyond crazy, it’s like every outlet has its own line ran directly to the pole. I also found naked lady statues, an assortment of wildly colored lollipops and a golden swastika on a driveway gate.
