Nāpali Coast is a 17 miles stretch on Kauaʻi’s North Shore, it is one of the most extraordinary places on gods green earth. Few places live up to the hype, this is one of them.

Kalalau Trail

Bring- Hiking Boots with good tread on them, backpack, water, protein bar, camera, GoPro, small rain jacket-stuff in bag, bathing suit,

Do Not- Fall of the cliffs, they are steep and slippery and people fall more than they should. If you fall, you probably won’t make it and if you do I promise you will not like it.


Take a Hike


The best way to take advantage of this scenic area is to take the Kalalau Trail. Bring- Hiking Boots, backpack, water, protein bar, camera, GoPro, small rain jacket, bathing suit, tall socks or lightweight pants. Do Not- Fall of the cliffs, it happens more than it should.

When hiking Kalalau, the trail starts at Ha’ena State Park. The highlights are Hanakāpī‘Ai Beach and Hanakapi'ai Falls. If you really feel up to the task you can hike the the entire trail-22.0-mile out-and-back trail that leads to Hanalei.


Trail Conditions

You're not climbing Everest but its also not cake walk. If you show up in flip-flops you're about to have a bad day. It is wet and muddy and you’ll be stepping on large, hard and slippery rocks. You’ll be brushing against vegetation, some of which will be wet.
