Craters of the Moon

Craters of the Moon is an interesting place to visit. It is located in Idaho and sits along the Snake River. It was home to active volcanos thousands of years ago and this place has the remnants to prove it. It has caves and fields of dark black magma that once flood across the area.

This part of Texas sat at the bottom of the ocean before the dinosaurs roamed. The mountains are actually a giant coral reef that was lifted by shifting tectonic plates, including the main attraction, El Capitan. There are coral fossils everywhere.
